Two birds ringed on the same day in August 2005 by Raymond Duncan and his team regularly winter on the Ria del Eo, Asturias, in northern Spain, and they were seen there on 10 August 2009 by Pablo Fernando Garcia.
Another Scottish-ringed bird has returned for its fourth autumn to Cornwall, and others to sites elsewhere in Britain visited in previous years.
